Yersin – Guilt (2020)

Tapa Guilt

From Sunderland, England, comes this excellent album that mixes death, grind, with touches of hardcore, crust with a thrasher energy. Yersin, formed in 2015, has two EPs prior to this release in which one can notice that they were already shaping the musical idea for this debut.

From the first song, the sonic aggression that the band intends to implement in its sound it is direct; As the album progresses, fast, furious songs appear, without lacking in groove either, and that is an element that really gives another scope, where the guitars shine for their effective and precise work; and the versatile voices vary their throatiness according to the moment of a certain song, completing a solid work of the band.

Yersin, throughout the album, and in the 10 songs that compose it, shows brutal strength, applied with imagination and intensity and that are evidenced thanks to the good production, in which each of the instruments is listened to without the need for effort, the guitars, bass, drums and vocals in this power trio are well balanced.

A very solid album from a band that promises, that I’m sure can give much more of their arsenal, and hopefully it won’t take long to have new material from them, in the meantime let’s rejoice in this ‘guilt’.
