Five years without Lemmy

«Everyone dies to break somebody’s heart». A world, five years without Lemmy.

Maybe it is better not to account a balance of what happened the last five years. Did the world keep turning? Probably yes. But does it feel like it? Not so much, even less in the year 2020. The only constant in the world of heavy metal became compromised.

Motörhead’s Lemmy was always present somehow in our lives. A living legend, living to play live and on tour every year. To get your ears and brain flushed with honest rock n’ roll music at insane volumes. If you had lost ground, Lemmy brought you back on the descend, the honest, the right track. Motörhead always kicked ass, never sold out and weren’t dictated by anyone. The ultimate role-model for freedom loving people. Maybe this is what is missing in today’s live?

Everything changes, it all stays the same
Everyone guilty, no one’s to blame
Every way out takes you back to the start
Everyone dies to break somebody’s heart
Motörhead – Love me forever

So, today is the day to celebrate the life of Lemmy once more. You know what to drink to that. You probably know every single records of Motörhead, maybe even of Hawkwind or his many other rock n’ roll projects. People may be taken from us, but the music is immortal.

Motörhead forever, Lemmy forever.
