Return of the Dark Magic
Wishdoomdark is a band composed of Paganist on drums, Alex Ezeptrone on vocals and guitars, Druid on bass and Moran on keyboards; from Donskoy Russia, and that has been putting out consistent works since 2006 framed in the glory days of English doom/death of the early nineties, with compositions full of melancholic, dense atmospheres, hypnotic rhythms and slow riffs.
For this fourth work, just one year after the excellent Blood of the Black God; the band, although it repeats the successful musical formula of their previous works, this time its development is noticeable, with greater emphasis on the keyboards and therefore the atmosphere of the album with a better production in general and lyrics that delve into the mysteries of the dark gods and pagan magic mainly Slavic.

8 solid songs where black metal influences are noticed, where epic guitars abound in dark ambient passages, the czechs of Dissolving of Prodigy come to mind, from whom I also made a special here on Abismo, and their vibe is definitely similar.
A great album that for lovers of the subgenre will be a delight, since they will find all the elements that made and still make this type of old-school doom/death, the most enjoyable type of doom, precisely because of their close relationship with death metal. A subgenre in which many of my favorite bands started, passed or returned (check the bands in their last album).
It is also worth mentioning and recommending the album titled Back to Doom that they just released this 2021, with covers of Paradise Lost, My Dying Bride; in addition to Amorphis, Tiamat, The Gathering, Katatonia and Crematory, and which is extremely interesting due to the solidity of the covers. Therefore fully recommended.
